absences and more absences

I've been a little bit absent yet again.  At this time of year I find that time runs away with me, we are out and about a lot more catching the sunshine and so my blog becomes a little neglected.

but this week was also a productive week, I spent the little bits of time that I had to spare sewing away on these little lavender girls

and, to my surprise, they all disappeared out of the shop as I was still listing them!  I love sewing these, choosing the dresses and colour schemes so it was very lovely to find that other people love them too.

I have also popped some caravans into my shop this week and have been asked by a few people for a pattern for them

I think I would need to have some other designs along side of them for a worthwhile pattern so I will be working on that when I get back from a short break

we also managed to fit in a walk down to the prom to watch the Olympic torch.  A mixed sort of event, it was so great to see people who help our communities getting the chance to carry the torch but the sponsor presence spoilt it a little, a big coca cola truck followed by two other sponsor trucks all blasting out music.  I'm glad there was quite a gap between them and the torch.

And my little child free break... a bit of a surprise really, it all happened so quickly that I didn't have time to come up with all my usual objections and I only have moments of panic about travelling across water without the children for the first time in eighteen years (although I did go to Dublin once with an Irish friend)!!

but I am looking forward to it so very much so I will be back here in a week's time or so after our little trip.
