I have an addiction to containers. Tins, boxes, bags... this may be because we have such a lot of stuff that needs containing but I think it is just the containers themselves.
This is a most special container
It is a paint box that belonged to my dad many years ago. Every time that I open it I see the worn down colours that he favoured, not the pretty fairy colours that I favour, but darker more naturalistic colours. I tend to use a lot of pink, purple and orange so I don't use the paints in the box too often just the mixing palette and the white.
soon I will have to begin replacing the pans of colour one by one with my own colours but I think I will probably have to keep the paints my dad used in another suitable container.
I almost forgot to mention that it has a key!! That just doubles the excitement for me! What can I say? A box you can lock is one of the very best things.
and so that's what I have been doing this week, locking and unlocking my box and painting
and more painting
oh and maybe just a few trips to the beach, which could explain my burning cheeks!
