This week I have been hijacked by my daughter for some joint doll making. I owe one of my nieces a waldorf style doll. These dolls are fiddly and a little time consuming so I have been putting it off but this week Annis decided that she would like to make one too. This was the impetus I needed and so we have begun
we are using old tshirts and tights in purples and pinks for the bodies and legs
so we sit side by side watching Agatha Christie's Poirot and stitching and I realise that these moments are feeling more and more important as my little girl grows up. So I dropped everything for a couple of days and we stitched and chatted.
we have heads and legs and arms ready for stitching. Annis found it easier than I do, she's enjoying making this doll. We still have quite a bit to do but she is off playing tennis with her friends today so we're saving it for another day.
and so today I could get some work done and finish more Easter egg cosies.
and a bit of mother's day drawing too
But I still have more making time with Annis to come.

I made a doll not long ago from a vogue pattern....it was a NIGHTMARE!! Needless to say I have never made another one!
ReplyDeleteKate - I have never made a doll but currently I am trying to make a stuffed dog - from a pattern and I am having such a hard time! Your projects all look so beautiful. I love the mother's day drawing.
