books !!!

I'm sorry I've been gone a while.  Christmas and all that!  Sewing and sewing and a little bit of shopping.  All have been a bit buggy this week, since christmas and we have had an eight hour journey with one poorly poppet and a sick bucket but now we are in convalescence, stories and children's films and Just William on the bbc iplayer
books for christmas, my absolute favourite things.  This beautiful Edward Gorey book, written by Peter Neumeyer is probably my favourite, a mundane event somehow made sinister by the magic of the drawing and the writing

I have three of these, of course one is missing again, I am quite sure that forbidden planet do it to me deliberately, but they look beautiful and I am looking forward to a quiet moment and a hot chocolate to accompany them

Oh I love this book and this blog.  So many things to do in here, I can't wait to start making with the chiddlers.

I hope father christmas brought you all that you wished for and that you had a lovely, bug free, christmas.

some sewing

It's been so busy in the run up to christmas, I have been sewing and sewing and sewing...  I am taking a break by doing a bit of knitting for presents.
I've been making a few needle books and having fun with some little embroideries

I'm not sure what's going on here, she's a little elvish I think or goblinny perhaps, but also a little christmassy

this is a tree hugger designed for my daughter

and more little rabbits in carts

What are you making for christmas?
