and finally, in my trio of circus girls, I think she is throwing out fairy dust which probably doesn't happen in circuses but she has a circus feel to her, perhaps she has been juggling stars. She is simply embroidered in back stitch and satin stitch with a few stars and seed stitches.

balancing ball detail
This little girl is balancing on a ball. The fabric is wild thyme again, in different colourways (I love this fabric!).
la funambuliste detail
funambuliste (tightrope walker) is one of my favourite french words so I have been a little pretentious and given her a french name. Circus skills have been creeping into my drawings recently, mainly those that balance.
Her dress is wild thyme fabric that I have embroidered and then appliqued the rest is simply embroidered.
